In May 2021, DuskGolem claimed that Capcom was hard at work on Resident Evil 4 Remake, which it had codenamed 'Chainsaw', adding that the studio had taken criticisms of Resident Evil 3 Remake to heart. One of the most prominent sources of these leaks is from DuskGolem, a notable Resident Evil leaker. The Twitter-sphere has been abuzz with rumors and alleged leaks of Resident Evil 4 Remake's existence for ages. Since the leak, some games have been confirmed or have been released, including a God of War PC port, a remaster of the Grand Theft Auto trilogy, and, most recently, Resident Evil 4 Remake. As one might expect, Resident Evil 4 Remake also made an appearance. This includes games such as a Ghost of Tsushima PC port, Monster Hunter 6, a Returnal PC port, Final Fantasy 9, and Dragon's Dogma 2, to name a few. Many of the games on the list were already released, though, interestingly, some were unreleased and then-unannounced titles. In September 2021, a developer was able to access Nvidia GeForce Now's database where they retrieved a list of hundreds of games. Unfortunately, that would not be the only data breach that would affect Capcom. Resident Evil 4 Remake was also mentioned in the leak, with an expected Q4 2022 launch window. For instance, Street Fighter 6, which appeared in the leak, was announced and is expected to be released in 2023. The leak revealed Capcom's plans for the future, and since its release, much of it has been proven to be true. The hackers, blackmailing Capcom with its data, made demands that the company refused to adhere to, resulting in a wealth of information being released to the public. Although Capcom has never confirmed the rumors, Resident Evil 4 Remake is perhaps one of gaming's worst kept secrets, and hints of its existence have been repeatedly appearing for over a year. The actor then is said to have sent a piece of confidential concept art to some fans, which then began to spread on social media. The news comes via an image shared on BewareCreepyVAs’s Twitter account (thanks, VGC) noting that Douglas apparently had already broken a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) by admitting to being the voice actor of Wesker in the Separate Ways part of the Resident Evil 4 remake.
